Kim Sears, my Wimbledon legend!

1608841482_WimbledonTennisMuseum1

Kimberly Sears.  The 27 year old, now wife to Britain’s ace tennis star Andy Murray, is the reason I watch tennis.

Don’t get me wrong, I actually really like tennis. And I also like Rafa Nadal’s tanned and toned arms (that’s another story!), but as a girl, there is nothing I love more but to wait for Andy Murray’s matches, JUST to get a glimpse of his wife’s outfits!

What I love about Kim is that her style reflects the normal 20 something, professional woman who loves nothing more than a Saturday morning haul in Zara.

mulberry

She loves her Mulberry handbags, an iconic British designer brand and often wears  high street favourites such as Warehouse & Mango.

She’s not afraid of adding a pop of colour to her outfits.

It’s centre Court at Wimbledon, but hey, who cares?!  She’s wearing a denim jacket!  I would probably get thrown out for looking like a homeless hippy!

Kim+Sears+Immediate+Reactions+Andy+Murray+NHkik5fPGDMl

Sitting in the stands watching her husband, she’s not afraid to shout, yell, cheer & scream with every ball Andy hits.  I couldn’t see Colleen Rooney doing that at a Manchester United football game!  Kim doesn’t care.  And that’s what makes her special.

When she wore a statement necklace from Zara at last years Wimbledon, it sold out the very next day.  I know because I was going to buy one.

Even on her more ‘casual days’ she pulls it off.

2509C4CB00000578-0-image-a-35_1422214561948

She’s there to support her husband, but at the same time, she feels every emotion that he does.  The only difference is he is sweating like a hot mess on the court, & she gets to look pretty in a delightful Zara dress!

Kim-Sears-10

Every dress that she wears is flattering & ladylike.

kim-22

Very Wimbledon & very classy.

Nearly every dress she wears is knee length or midi. I would love an hour to rummage in her wardrobe!

Kim-Sears-seen-arriving-at-wimbledon-tennis

I LOVED it when she sported a Parental Advisory sweater to one of Andy’s games.  There were reports of her swearing loudly in the stands & being quite rude, but Kim being Kim, she did the talking with her style!

I cannot even begin to get started on that head of hair that she has!  I kind of want to shake her parents’ hand for creating such a mane.  It’s heavenly & dreamy & quite frankly, not fair!

I love you Kim Sears.  Any Murray, PLEASE do not let me down.

Weekday Treat in Chanel

Chanel-LogoSo, the other week, I was replacing my bronzer  (I swear by Soleil Tan De Chanel. I’ve been using it for over 5 years every, single, day!).

7738227976_c39637636d_b

The lovely lady on the Chanel counter in my local Debenhams asked if I would like to come along for a complimentary eyes & lips makeover for the release of their Summer 2015 Mediterrantee Collection. What girl could say no?!

chanel_debenhams_southampton_01e

I obviously took them up on their offer & invited my two best friends along with me. I went along on a Tuesday evening after work to be greeted by a lovely Chanel makeup artist who then spent 30 minutes going through what colours I liked, what I would normally wear & what suited best based on my hair & eye colour.

I’m going on holiday next week (make sure you pop back for holiday photos!), so I said I would definitely be back to purchase some bits!

The following was used to create my look:

P151790

Chanel Lumiere D’ete Illuminating Powder (£46) – This powder is shaped as the iconic Chanel Camellia flower, which enhances a naturally golden complexion – making it a holiday must have! It’s Limited Edition so make sure you pick one up for Summer!

P137060

This amazing power was applied using the Chanel Pinceau Poudre N 1 Powder Brush – £44

P186907

Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Caroube (dark brown) – £23

P191210

Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara in black – £25 (My friends thought I had applied fake lashes!).

P187901

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in brown – £19

P183910

Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen – £27

P173410

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Parfait – £24

The collection is so so so beautiful, with reds, pinks, corals and golds playing a major part. It just screams sunshine & holidays, which is what Summer is all about, right?!

Thank you to Debenhams at The Merry Hill Centre for their time! You can access the Chanel collection online at the Debenhams website here!

Enjoy the rest of your week! x x x

You know what it’s like.  You see an outfit on your favourite celebrity/style icon on the latest newsfeed & you automatically want it, right? Of course you do.

What’s the betting that it’s actually the week before payday & that Chanel bag that they’re carrying is far beyond your wildest financial dreams? Still with me?

Well, that’s what happened when I saw Myleene Klass wearing a gorgeous black and white scuba dress, accessorised with a Chanel bag & of course, the Louboutin’s.  Well to be honest, I loved the dress, but didn’t want to fork out the £62.00 for it (sorry Myleene!).

Tesco to the rescue! Yes, that’s right. The place where you go to get your milk, eggs & bathroom cleaner. They also do clothes.  The supermarket’s these days have had to step up their game to keep ahead of the pack & whilst I was picking up some food shopping, I automatically went to view their clothes.

IMG_5728

For £25.00, I picked up more or less the same dress.  Teamed with my DKNY bag, Marc Jacobs sunnies & my black Michael Kors heels, I think it’s a pretty good High Street carbon copy!

IMG_5730

It just goes to show that you CAN get that celebrity style without breaking the bank, AND whilst picking up a loaf of bread & a chocolate bar on your way out!

To get Myleene’s actual dress, check out her range for Littlewoods here!

The Burberry Mac.

Burberry_Logo_02

You know the one. It’s so cool even Brooklyn Beckham has one.

THE stable piece to every wardrobe. With a price tag of over £1,000.00.

A little steep huh!

Well, in steps The GAP. The typically American store founded in the 60’s, where their cool, laid back casual style always seems to pull me in.

GAP

I had been eying up their beige Mac for MONTHS. Then to my delight, I spotted it on sale (50% off!).  So for £34.95, I had found the perfect mac to get me through the up & coming April showers!

IMG_4899IMG_4900

Yes, it’s not Burberry, BUT it’s just as cute, & won’t put a dent in your bank balance!

You can get your iconic Burberry Mac here or search the GAP website here!

Where are my keys?

“I’ve lost my keys!”

How many times have we said that in a day?!

Well, I have found the perfect solution for all of us!

Then, 5 minutes later, you’ve found them hidden in the deep, dark depths of your bag!

I have fallen in love. Help me!

118-2000644-372264BOW01_BLACK_M

I need this in my life. Pretty damn soon.

118-2000644-372264BOW01_BLACK_ALT03

It costs the same as my car insurance for a whole year, but LOOK HOW PRETTY!!

I think the dimensions (Height 10.5 x length 19 x depth 4cm), would be big enough for me to use as a clutch on a night out, which makes me want it even more!

I need to stay away from Selfridges for my own good!

Weekend Roundup

Sunday evening…HOW is it here again?

It doesn’t seem too minutes since I kicked off my work shoes on Friday night with a huge smile on my face!

IMG_4361

Friday was a perfect relaxing evening. I had a bubble bath & then cheekily stole Daniel’s dressing gown for the remainder of the evening!

Saturday morning saw snow, hail & rain hit the Midlands, but we still braved the Great British weather & headed into Birmingham for a French breakfast.

My French toast & Hazelnut Latte went down a treat!

I also picked up a Bubble Tea from Mee Cha which is an absolute must when in Birmingham! I am a tad obsessed, & that’s just with the cute Panda packaging!

IMG_4413

Saturday evening saw me celebrating my Dad’s birthday! We ventured into St Paul’s Square in Birmingham for food & drinks. It was a night filled with cocktails, wine, prosecco & yummy food. It’s always lovely to spend an evening with family!

IMG_4424Action Heart logo

The morning after the night before saw me head out at the crack of dawn & complete the Action Heart 5 mile (8K) run. Action Heart is a cardiac rehabilitation programme & helps hundreds of people each year. It was an honour to take part with 500 other people in my local area! I have never been so cold, nor have I ever ran up so many hills, but I was very happy to finish with a big smile on my face!

IMG_4430IMG_4428

The rest of Sunday was a lovely relaxing day! I collected the Sunday papers for Daniel & I & we also watched my Dad open his Birthday presents, which was lovely! I finished the weekend off with a super Sunday Dinner with Daniel’s family!

IMG_4429

How was your weekend? I hope you all had a super fun time! x

Breakfast at Browns

IMG_3769IMG_3770

It was Saturday & the sun was shining. There was no way we were wasting such a lovely morning!

IMG_3768IMG_3773

We decided to go for breakfast at Browns Bar & Brasserie in Birmingham. I decided on the Eggs Florentine, which was yummy!

IMG_3771IMG_3772

The decor is lovely & relaxed (they have a live pianist on a Sunday afternoon), and the views of St Martin’s Church & the iconic Bullring whilst sipping on your morning coffee is beautiful.

Here’s what I got up to today..

IMG_3592

8am morning Starbucks to start off our day!

900

I had a 9am cut & blowdry with my amazing hairdresser, Laura at Umberto Giannini in Selfridges, Birmingham.

IMG_3569IMG_3572IMG_3573

I then went to my favourite store, Victoria’s Secret, where I found it completely empty! I was like a kid in a candy store! The slogan gym tee’s & this nightshirt made me giggle! (And made me tres hungry!)

IMG_3576IMG_3612IMG_3574

I was a tad naughty & picked up some bits and bobs!

Jeans: Topshop Jamie Jeans

Shoes: H&M Sneakers

Tee: H&M

IMG_3605

Whilst having a mooch around Selfridges, I was whisked off for a glass of Moët Champagne at the Balcony Brasserie which is located on the 4th floor of the department store.  I could have stayed there all afternoon!

IMG_3602

All this shopping & champagne drinking made us a little hungry, so we headed off to Wagamama, which is one of our favourite places for a quick pitstop!

I’ve had a truly wonderful day, I hope you’ve all had a fun Saturday!
