Banana & Bread

IMG_0312

Literally two of my favourite things in the whole world, so it’s only natural that when combined together, it’s heavenly!

I’ve been making this banana bread for around 3 years & it still remains a firm family favourite!

There’s nothing better on a cold evening to snuggle up with a warm slice! Or have it cold in Summer, served with your favourite ice-cream!

Here’s the recipe! Why don’t you have a go at making your own batch? I’m off to do mine now!

Ingredients

125g Butter

150g Caster Sugar

1 tea spoon of vanilla extract

1 egg

2 – 3 ripe bananas (the riper the better)

190g self raising flour

60ml milk

1 teaspoon of cinnamon (my secret ingredient!)

To be more creative, why not throw in a few blueberries!

Method:

Grease your loaf tin

Mash up your ripe bananas

Melt the butter, sugar & vanilla in a saucepan over a medium heat, until melted

Remove from the heat & add to the mashed bananas

Add the egg and mix well

Stir in the flour and the milk

Add your cinnamon to the mixture

Pour your mixture into the loaf tin

Bake at 150c / Gas Mark 3 -4 for 40 – 60 minutes.

Leave to cool & slice (or save all for yourself!)
